Where did 50 years go? I am sure we all can flash back to those fun-filled and carefree times we shared at Episcopal as though it were yesterday.
One thing is for sure; we are brothers. We might not talk or see each other for long periods of time, but our shared childhood experiences at Episcopal bind us so tightly together in shared love, affection, and laughter that we can immediately pick up with one another where we left off. Be it on the phone or in a bear hug embrace, the passage of time is immediately dissolved. The ethical and spiritual values engrained in us at Episcopal, be it in chapel, on the playing field, in the classroom, or at the sock hop, comprise the shared moral compass that has guided our childhood, adulthood and now golden years. The 50-plus unique personalities in our class of 1960 created a rich tapestry of treasured experiences that has grounded us, inspired us, and comforted us throughout our lives. We are, indeed, blessed to have enjoyed life-long friendships. Despite time, distance, career paths, successes or failures, marriages or divorces, or the passing of loved ones and classmates, we are Brothers. We are Family.
As our 50th reunion approaches in May of 2010, I thought it appropriate to embrace the technology age and create this Class of 1960 website so that we can collectively catch up on one another’s lives: family, careers, interests, etc. The website will be just one avenue of communication for us to reconnect and renew our enduring friendships. Plan to reunite for a memorable and fun-filled 50th Episcopal Academy Reunion!
Allan Chagan joins me as Co-Chair of the E.A. Class of 1960 Reunion Committee in extending our warmest best wishes to you and your families over these ensuing nine months until our 50th Reunion. We look forward to talking and corresponding with you often in the months to come and can’t wait to actually grasp your hand and give you a big hug as brothers do.
Warmest best wishes,
